*NEW*  The regulations governing the use of your FSA debit card are changing.  As of 7/1/2009, you can only use your FSA debit card at pharmacies and drugstores that have implemented the Inventory Information Approval System (IIAS) or have certified that 90% of all cash register receipts for the previous calendar year were FSA-eligible expenses.

FSA Debit Card Tip:

If you use your FSA Debit Card at retail outlet with an Inventory Control System in place to purchase your prescriptions or eligible over-the-counter meds, you will not have to submit documentation.  These retail stores have a system in place that only allows eligible items to be paid for with ASIFlex's debit card.  More retail stores are expected to be added soon.

The State of Washington offers two pre-tax spending programs you can use to save money.

The Flexible Spending Account (FSA or Health Care Reimbursement Account) is a PEBB-sponsored benefit program that allows you to use pre-tax money to pay for certain medical expenses.  Enrolling in the FSA can lead to savings of up to 40% on each dollar that is set aside.

The Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) allows you to save on child or elder care expenses (e.g. babysitting, daycare, in-home care for an older dependent incapable of self-care).
